Thomas Johnson hasn't been seen in nearly 2 days
A freshman football player at Texas A&M is missing. Thomas Johnson, wide receiver, hasn’t been seen since leaving his apartment Monday afternoon. He is described as a black male, 18 years of age, 5′11,” 180 lbs., black hair and brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a black jacket, black shorts, grey shoes, and a set of “Dr. Dre Beats” brand headphones. Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin said, “All of us are obviously very concerned about the safety and well-being of Thomas...Authorities are working closely with his family, friends and law enforcement agencies to help locate him. Thomas is a tremendous student-athlete, greatly admired by his fellow teammates and all of us on the coaching staff...We pray for his quick and safe return.” Johnson's mother said, “I know God is in it. And if he’s in it, it’s going to be OK. But that doesn’t stop me from crying, doesn’t stop me from wondering and doesn’t help me sleep.” The news of Johnson's disappearance comes less than a week after celebrating a stunning upset of No. 1 Alabama; Johnson caught three passes in that game.
