Trayvon Martin: Judge, And Her Replacement Step Down Over Conflict
New judge assigned to case
Earlier this week, George Zimmerman's lawyer Mark O'Mara filed a request for Judge Jessica Recksiedler to step down due to a conflict of interest. She did.
But then immediately after that her proposed replacement, Judge John Galluzzo, had to remove himself from the case because of another conflict. He used to practice law with O'Mara, who is also the godfather of one of his children.
Now, it is being reported that Florida has finally found a judge that qualifies to preside.
His name is Judge Kenneth Lester, Jr. and he has a reputation for handing out stiff sentences with the quickness.
Lester's first decision in the highly-publicized case will be whether or not to grant George Zimmerman bond this Friday.
