Murder defendant selling his John Hancock to raise money for depleted legal defense fund
Yes, you read the headline correctly. George Zimmerman, the former neighborhood watchman charged with the February killing of Florida teen Trayvon Martin, is re-launching his legal defense fund and offering his supporters autographed thank you notes for contributing to his depleted bank accounts. According to his new website GZDefenseFund.com, Zimmerman wants to continue thanking those who have helped him raise more than $140,000 to defend against a second-degree murder charge. The 29-year-old is awaiting a June 10, 2013 trial date for shooting the 17-year-old unarmed Martin. He has claimed self-defense and has pled not guilty. (Huffington Post)
