TSA Collected Record Number Of Handguns In 2012

Looks like a lot of people forgot to take their loaded gun out of their luggage before going to the airport this year.

The TSA is saying that they collected an unprecedented number of handguns at the airport in 2012. How many you ask? How about 1,527. And get this, 1,295 of them were loaded.

With three more days left in the year as people continue to travel for the holidays, TSA is expecting for the number to exceed the 1,550 mark.

The .380 semiautomatic pistol was the most found weapon. But in addition to guns, TSA also says they found a large amount of grenades and shotguns this year too.

Who forgets they have grenades in their backpack?
