Social networking site adds a new trick.

Depending on how you look at it, your friends at Twitter have given you yet another reason to waste time throughout the day, or record a protest.

On Thursday the social networking site rolled out "Vine" a new video app that allows users to shoot and share six-second-long looping video clips.

"Like Tweets, the brevity of videos on Vine (6 seconds or less) inspires creativity,” said Twitter's vice president for product Michael Sippey. “Now that you can easily capture motion and sound, we look forward to seeing what you create.”

Users complained that the services was glitchy when it came out, leading Twitter to temporarily disable it. But after hours of work the service was restored.
