More States Considering Legislation Against Workplace Bullying

It doesn't just affect kids...
A growing number of states are considering legislation that would put an end to workplace bullying by allowing workers to sue for on-the-job harassment that causes physical or emotional harm. Litigants could pursue lost wages, benefits and medical expenses and compel employers to prevent an "abusive work environment." So if your boss resorts to verbal abuse anytime something goes wrong, you may finally have the law on your side. However, many business groups oppose the measures, arguing they would open the floodgates to frivolous lawsuits. Still, a recent survey found that 56% of companies already have some kind of anti-bullying policy. (USA Today)
