Airport Opens Lactation Station
It's kind of like a photobooth, but for breast feeding.
Burlington International Airport in Vermont recently opened a modular lactation station to allow mothers to breastfeed their babies or use breast pumps in privacy.
First unveiled on Thursday, the company Mamava is responsible for this new installation with hope that many more will follow.
With a fold-down table and power supply, the “pod” was designed with the help of a mother to assure comfort and usability satisfaction.
While nursing shawls and covers are means of privacy while breastfeeding, some moms still shy away from doing so in public, while others resort to a bathroom stall.
Mamava hopes to install lactation stations in other public places like malls, as well.
If you're a mom, would you use a lactation station?
