Does Life Have Meaning?
Recent study results reveal that those who believe in God feel life is purposeful, while those who don't believe, don't find meaning in life at all.
True or false: "In my opinion, life does not serve any purpose."
This particular statement was shared with two groups of people: those who believe in God, and those who don't. The results showed that a faith-based background provides a sense of significance in life, while disbelief does not.
Several previous studies have shown religion to be a prominent factor in happiness. It is now also leading towards a factor of meaning in life, as well.
Those who believe in God feel that there is a purpose in life, while those who don't, don't.
Perhaps it is the sense of belonging and uplifting message, "we're all in this together," that comes with a faith-based community, which draws conclusions such as that of this study.
Do you think faith has a lot to do with whether you feel life has purpose, or is this study a fluke in your opinion?
