Mitt Romney Thinks $374,000 is Not a lot of Money

Mr. 1% has yet another gaffe proving he's out of touch.

The poster boy for the 1%, Mitt Romney was asked again on the campaign trail about his tax returns. Romney has refused to release even 1 year of his tax returns waffling on the subject and saying maybe he will probably release them around April.  This is different than in the past where candidates routinely released their tax returns. Romney's refusal might signal he has something to hide.

It's very likely his tax rate is only 15% where the majority of Americans pay taxes on their income at a rate of 28%. So Romney seems to be avoiding looking like the face Wall Street greed so out of step with average Americans in a down economy.  When asked further about his earnings other than the investment income taxed at 15%, Romney made a huge gaffe that will likely add to the narrative that he's completely out of touch.

Romney noted he has earned "not very much" money in speaking fees.

Romney earned $374,327.62 dollars in speaking fees in the 12 month period before his White House run. Romney just keeps putting his foot in his mouth when it comes to appearing like a rich guy who knows nothing about struggle and living pay check to pay check or even student loans.
