Republican Congressman Equates Working With Obama on Debt With "Touching a Tarbaby"

Colorado Republican Rep. Doug Lamborn recently said that working with President Obama on the debt ceiling negotiations that was like "touching a tarbaby ... and you're stuck and you're part of the problem now."

This was reported by David Sirota, who got the audio from an interview Lamborn did on Caplis and Silverman's Show on 630 KHOW talk radio show.

The American Prospect blogger Jamelle Bouie said on Twitter that he called the Congressman's office and got a confirmation that Lamborn made the statement, but didn't offer a response otherwise.
