ON BEING NOMINATED: On my desk sits a framed ten year old Post-it from my Mom that reads, "I am so proud of you!"  I look at the note everyday, and on days when the work of trying to make the world a better place seems impossible, my Mother's note and my son's smile get me through. Now, I have public validation from my well-respected peers at the Loop 21 and IMPACT to add to that list of inspiration.  I could not be more honored by this acknowledgement, and I am so grateful.
