Allen West Compares Himself To Abraham Lincoln

Says the both only served one term in Congress.

After an embarrassing, failed reelection bid for Congress, former Florida Rep. Allen West wants you to know that he's still in the history books.

In an interview with NPR, West said:

Look, you know, God closes a door so that he can open up greater doors. I will continue to, you know, stand up and fight for this country. That's my goal. And always remember, Abraham Lincoln only served one term in Congress, too.

West's two years in Congress is mostly known for his outlandish comments in the media.
