Bank plans to force customers to bank online
Bank of America continues to find ways to alienate their customers.
Wall Street Journal is reporting that the bank plans to implement a monthly fee for having a bank account. They will however wave the fee if you maintain a set minimum balance, use a credit card or take a mortgage with the bank.
The program, called "Essentials" banking, is already being tested in Arizona, Georgia and Massachusetts, charging customers between $6 and $9. If the program is fully implemented, customers can expect to pay $9, $12, $15 or $25.
This news comes months after a backlash from customers when Bank of America attempted to charge a $5 fee for using a debit card.
