The Children of Martin Luther King, Jr.

Martin Luther King III Born in 1957, King III is a Morehouse College grad. He’s held public office—serving as a county commissioner in Fulton County, Ga. He’s also served as head of the SCLC, like his father. However the SCLC suspended King from leadership in 2001 for failing to advance the organization’s mission. King was quickly reinstated but eventually left the SCLC to head the King Center. He also launched an organization called Realizing the Dream. He’s married with one child.
