Contact your elected officials and local organizations to make a difference
You may be surprised to know that each state has different policies for dealing with sexual predators. Below are some ways to insure that your community treats prevention and prosecution of sex crimes as a priority.
Help Support H.R. 1523, “The Safer Act”
1) If you would like to sign a petition in support of H.R. 1523 please visit: Change.org
2) To locate and contact your member of Congress to urge them to co-sponsor or vote for H.R. 1523 please visit Write Your Representative.
3) To contact your Senator and urge them to vote for the bill when it is introduced in the Senate in April locate your Senator here.

Dear Rep./Sen. X:
I recently became aware of H.R. 1523, “The Safer Act” which will help track and end the DNA backlog that has hindered the prosecution of thousands of sexual assault cases nationwide. As your constituent it is very important to me that you support this vital piece of legislation. I would greatly appreciate hearing your position on this bill and how you plan to vote on it when the time comes.
