Guns In School: Many States Already Allow Teachers To Carry

In some states, teachers only need a permission slip to have a gun in school
As elected officials all over the country continue to push proposals allows teachers and staff to carry guns in school, some states already allow the act.
A NBC conducted study found that 18 states already have laws that allow teachers to carry firearms as long as they have a permission slip from the principal.
Among the states identified in the piece are Alabama, Texas, Kentucky and Oregon. The laws don't say that the teachers have to give a reason why they would want to bring a gun to school either.
