Congressional candidate highlights diversity of convention’s speaker lineup

Mia Love, the 36-year-old Saratoga Spring, Utah mayor and rising GOP star, delivered a rousing primetime speech to attendees of Republican National Convention in Tampa, Fla. on Tuesday night. As a first-generation Haitian-American Mormon and congressional candidate in a mostly white district, Love told attendees about the value of personal responsibility instilled in by her parents and charged that President Barack Obama was “pitting us against each other based on our income level, gender and social status."  View Love’s full speech in the video player above.
