Time To Collect! IRS Has $1 Billion In Unclaimed Tax Returns

If you didn't file in 2008, you may have a check waiting for you.

If you didn't file your 2008 tax return, you could be missing out on some money.

Today it was revealed that the IRS has $1 billion in unclaimed tax returns for that year. Half of them are worth more than $600.

Just why and how did this happen? Many people probably didn't think they made enough money that year to bother filing. But, no matter how much you made, if you had taxes withheld from your checks, then you are owed back the money.

If you think you fall into this category, you have to act fast. If you don't file your claim by April 17, the money officially becomes property of the U.S. Treasury. Don't they have enough of your bread already? Go get what's yours!
