Israel Bombs Gaza Strip, Kills 41 Including Pregnant Woman, Children
Israel bombed Gaza strip targets in response to rockets that killed three Israelis Thursday
Israeli aircrafts bombed Hamas government buildings in Gaza on Saturday, including the prime minister's office. Reuters reports that Israel's cabinet has also authorized the mobilization of up to 75,000 military reservists, preparing for a possible ground invasion.
Officials said 41 Palestinians, including 20 civilians, eight of whom were children and a pregnant woman, had been killed in Gaza since Israel began operations four days ago. Three Israeli civilians were killed by a rocket on Thursday.
The strikes did massive damage to the office building of Palestinian Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh who met with the Egyptian prime minister yesterday.
Thousands of people protested the Israeli aggression in cities around Egypt. Egyptian President Mohamed Mursi called the attacks "blatant aggression" and pledged to support the Gaza strip and Palestinian population.
