Michelle Obama Celebrates Birthday With High Popularity Rating

First Lady Michelle Obama celebrated her 49th birthday Thursday and had good reason to: the public polls say she's still pretty popular. Results of a survey conducted last week show 51 percent of Americans hold a favorable opinion of Michelle. Only 13 percent view her unfavorably; a third of Americans are undecided. She's especially popular with Democrats, but Republicans are more divided as 24 percent view her favorably and 30 percent unfavorably. Additionally, she is more popular with women (57 percent) than men (44 percent). Michelle also rang in her birthday with a new hair do--bangs!--and the creation of a new Twitter handle; her office unveiled @FLOTUS.
