Mitt Romney Paid $1.9 Million In Taxes Last Year

Mitt Romney paid $1.9 million in taxes in 2011 according to the Associated Press.

Romney earned almost $13.7 million last year and paid more than $1.9 million in taxes, or a tax rate of 14.1 percent.

The amount is about $1 million less than the expected $3 million that the Romney campaign said earlier.

The previous year, 2010, Romney paid about $3 million in federal income taxes at a rate of 13.9 percent.
