Newt Gingrich's Sister is Campaigning for Obama

Candace Gingrich-Jones disagrees with brother Newt on gay rights
This Christmas there might be some family squabbles under the tree of the Gingrich family. While Newt Gingrich has risen to become the GOP's flavor of the month for presidential nominee, there's one person in the family whose vote he won't get. That would be his half-sister Candace Gingrich-Jones who is a lesbian and outspoken LGBT rights activist.
Gingrich-Jones told the Guardian that her half-brother is "definitely on the wrong side of history" when it comes to gay issues and that she is working "really, really hard to make sure that President Obama is re-elected."
She's a director at the Human Rights Campaign, which advocates for LGBT Americans and is diametrically opposed to conservative views on gay marriage that Gingrich has taken up. Last month, he called gay marriage a "temporary aberration."
"I think that [gay marriage] is just fundamentally goes against everything we know," [sic] said Gingrich.
When New York state legalized gay marriage he said "I think we are drifting towards a terrible muddle which I think is going to be very, very difficult and painful to work our way out of."
He didn't attend his sister's wedding, but we wonder what kinds of secrets Gingrich's half-sister will be leaking to the Obama campaign.
