The POTUS is on pace to take title again

President Barack Obama would win his second term if the election was held today. He is within reach of the 271 electoral votes needed to win, with likely victories in crucial Ohio and Iowa along with 19 other states and the District of Columbia. Republican candidate Mitt Romney would currently win 23 states for a total of 206, but would need to take Florida, Colorado, Nevada, North Carolina, New Hampshire and Virginia, to put him at 267 votes. The President and Romney begin their first debate Wednesday in Denver and Romney's running mate Paul Ryan believes there's still a chance they can take the ticket. "In these kinds of races people focus near the end, and that's what's happening now," he said. (Huffington Post)
