Famous Parents who Make us Super Grateful for our Own Parents

Each year thousands of kids are abused by their parents. Click HERE to see how you can help them. Some of those kids may even have famous parents. Here's a look back at some of the most infamous celebrity offenders.

Joan Crawford: “Mommy Dearest,” the memoir by Joan Crawford’s daughter Christina is officially the grand dame of the all Hollywood kid tell-alls, and accused the Hollywood legend of physical and emotional abuse.

Tony Curtis: Daughter Jamie Lee, who would become a star in her own right, would admit in adulthood that Tony, the star of Hollywood classics like “Some like it Hot” occasionally did illegal drugs with his young daughter.

John Phillips: Mackenzie Phillips, an actress and the oldest daughter of the lead singer of 60’s group the Mamas and the Papas, claims her father initiated an ongoing sexual relationship with her in adulthood.

Joe Jackson: Even during his tenure as the biggest solo star on the planet, Michael Jackson expressed a measure of fear and intimidation towards the father who managed his early career and whom he spent a lifetime referring to by his first name “Joseph.” Joe Jackson’s alleged abuse has made him the poster-child for all bad stage parents.

Woody Allen: The acclaimed filmmaker married the daughter of his longtime partner Mia Farrow, who is also the mother of his biological children who no longer speak to him. Would you?

Kris Jenner: The “momager” of the Kardashian clan has drawn comparisons to Joe Jackson for her ability to turn her children into her very own cashcows and her ability to ignore the raised eyebrows of critics who question her motives. (P.S.-That comparison is not a compliment.) One particular parenting highlight? When in manager mode, Jenner tried to urge her daughter Kim to pose fully nude for Playboy, despite the younger Kardashian’s reservations.
