A First Look at Jamie Foxx in Tarantino's "Django Unchained"

The Oscar winner plays a slave on the run
Jamie Foxx takes on the title tole in Quentin Tarantino's new film Django Unchained, and the first photos of the Academy Award-winning actor in character have just been released.
In the film, set in the pre-Civil War South, Foxx plays a slave who travels across America to rescue his wife (Kerry Washington) after she's been sold off to the charming, but sadistic plantation owner Calvin Candie (played by Leonardo DiCaprio).

Traveling alongside Django is German dentist and bounty hunter Dr. King Schultz (played by Inglorious Basterds villain Christoph Waltz).
Entertainment Weekly details, "After being sent to a chain gang after rebelling against his owners, Django is recruited by Schultz to help him settle an old score. Django has information that Schultz needs, so the German mercenary liberates the slave and promises that if he helps him kill Django’s old owners, he’ll make it worth his while."
Django Unchained is set to be released in theaters on December 25.
