Already? Sherri Shepherd Accused of Cheating on 'DWTS'
Why won't they let her be great?
Sherri Shepherd's 'Dancing With the Stars' season hasn't even begun yet and she's already been met with a 'scandal.'
Reports claim the talk show host began taking dance lessons with her partner back in December, giving her an unfair advantage in the competition.
But on a recent episode of The View (see it below), Shepherd reassured her audience that that's not the case.
"It was incorrectly reported that Maks Chmerkovskiy is my dance partner. He's not. His brother Val is my partner. [Val & I] have never, I say never, danced together."
So, the truth? "I took a handful of classes at Maks' studio, which I'm glad I did, because it showed me if I was up for this challenge of 'Dancing With the Stars' ... But this started long before I started any negotiations with [the show]."
There you have it, a classic case of a sibling switch-up.
However, Shepherd admitted that she's not sure how many people will be watching her dance considering her state, "I'm 169 pounds, I'm diabetic, and I'm pigeon-toed."
