Sibling Rivalry Causes Depression?
A new study shows teasing among brothers and sisters is more harmful than bullying in the schoolyard.
“You were adopted.”
“You’re real dad is the milkman.”
These are just some of the things siblings say to one another.
At first they can be fun and don’t mean any harm, but a new study shows that bullying among siblings can be more traumatizing than previously thought.
The study, which is published in Pediatrics, found that 32 percent of children reported experiencing at least one form of aggression from a sibling.
Overall, these kids and teenagers reported more depression, anxiety, and anger than other kids.
