Michelle Obama ‘Kaepernicking’ with 49ers Quarterback

The football player tweets a photo doing his famous pose with the First Lady

First Lady Michelle Obama is known to bust a move every once in a while. From doing ‘The Dougie’ to her ‘Mom Dancing,’ she knows how to stay on top of the latest trends.

Now, Mrs. Obama has learned the “Kaepernicking.”

The move is San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick’s signature move in which he kisses his biceps.

The quarterback is known to do the famous pose after he scores a touchdown during games.

On Tuesday, Kaepernick tweeted a photo of that shoes him with the First Lady kissing their toned biceps.

“I got the opportunity to meet one of the greatest women in the world...and even got her #Kaepernicking,” he said the in the tweet.

The photo was taken at a Let’s Move! event earlier this year.

After the photo was tweeted, the First Lady responded with a tweet of her own saying, “Had fun #Kaepernicking. Thanks for helping our kids get moving!”

Curt Schilling: So You're A Gay Athlete? Who Cares?!

The former major league baseball pitcher doesn't see the issue with having gay teammates.

It appears that baseball may be on track to having an open door policy when it comes to gay athletes. That is if you go according to the numerous baseball players that have revealed their level of comfort playing with gay teammates. The only stipulation, they must know how to play--that makes sense. Former Major League Baseball pitcher Curt Schilling -- who pitched for the Philadelphia Phillies, Boston Red Sox, Baltimore Orioles and Houston Astros throughout his career -- took to Twitter with his thoughts. "Also, I've never understood this 'issue' with gay players? Who cares?" he said. "I know I played with some, their sexual orientation never had much to do with how they hit with RISP, or pitched in late and close situations, why the hell would what they do in the bedroom ever matter?"

Who Are The Best Black Running Backs Of All Time?

His view was echoed by many other baseball players like now-retired Jeff Weaver, who pitched for the Detroit Rogers, and his younger brother Jared Weaver, currently of the Los Angeles Angels.

Chris Culliver of the 49ers kicked off the controversy, putting his foot in his mouth and proclaiming that he "don't do the gay guys man." Well, he's since been enrolled in sensitivity training before beginning volunteer work with various LGBT youth advocacy groups. He's surely ecstatic about that experience. Maybe football players will follow suit and begin to change perspectives? (Huffington Post)

Super Bowl Player Apologizes For Anti-Gay Comments

San Francisco 49ers cornerback says he doesn't “do the gay guys” in football

Chris Culliver, cornerback for the Super Bowl-bound San Francisco 49ers, is sorry for homophobic comments he made this week about gay players in the NFL. “I don’t do the gay guys, man,” Culliver said in response to sports reporter Artie Lange’s off-the-cuff question about closeted members of the league. “No, we don’t got no gay people on the team; they gotta get up out of here if they do [that].” Asked if gay players should come out of the closet, Culliver said, “Yeah, come out 10 years later after that.” The Niners distanced themselves from the comments in an official statement, pledging their support for the LGBT community. And Culliver has apologized in a statement by reporter Jim Trotter: “The derogatory comments I made yesterday were a reflection of thoughts in my head, but they are not how I feel. It has taken me seeing [the comments] in print to realize that they are hurtful and ugly. Those discriminating feelings are truly not in my heart.” Way to create a distraction days away from the big game, Chris! (BuzzFeed)

Super Bowl Ads and Teasers Leaked

Mercedes-Benz, GoDaddy, and Kia are among the marketers releasing ads early.

With less than a week before Super Bowl Sunday, fans and TV watchers are getting antsy and its not just for the big game. Super Bowl Sunday has grown into more than just a day of football but a day of ad-watching. Now, with anticipation high, some ads have been leaked (some intentionally) for viewers. Full ads from Kia, Toyota, and GoDaddy.com have already surfaced.

Whereas the Ravens and 49ers play for the Lombardi Trophy, marketers are squaring off for something else-- to be a viral phenomenon. Of course, as you’ll see, marketers can’t go too wrong using one of the three popular tools in an ad: a baby, an animal, or celebrity. It never ceases to fail. Here are some super ads that have posted. (NY Post)
