A 14-year-old girl who has been blogging for the BBC for three years about the abuses of the Taliban in the Pakistan-Afghan region is recovering from an assassination attempt on her school bus.
The Taliban has taken responsibility for shooting Malala Yousufazi in the head as she rode on a school bus in Pakistan. And the terror group vows to try again.

"She is a Western-minded girl," Taliban spokesman Ehsanullah Ehsan told Agence France Presse. "We will target anyone who speaks against the Taliban."
Police said Malala was coming home from school when an unknown bearded man got on the bus, asked for her by name and, when one of her schoolmates pointed her out, pulled a gun and opened fire.

The bullet that hit Malala in the head missed her brain, lodging near her neck, doctors told reporters. Another girl was hit in the shoulder and a third in the leg, according to police.
