Michele Bachmann Leaves Campaign Staffers Unpaid

The staffers must sign a nondisclosure agreement before they receive any payment.

Michele Bachmann is holding out on funds to former campaign staffers until they sign a nondisclosure agreement. According to Peter Waldron, the former GOP presidential candidate nominee is said to owe the five Iowa straw-poll staffers $5,000. She reportedly has $2 million left from her campaign. The nondisclosure agreement prevents staffers from telling the media about any “unethical, immoral, or criminal activity” they witnessed on the campaign trail.

This isn’t the first time Bachmann has had issues with staff. In October 2011, the congresswoman lost most of her New Hampshire staff, partly due to lack of payment. (The Daily Beast)

What Keeps Americans From Acting Badly?

60 Minutes and Vanity Fair find an answer.

When you're a child, the fear of getting a whupping usually keeps you out of mischief. As an adult, the thought of prison is usually enough to keep you from committing a crime.

But according to a new poll conducted by 60 Minutes and Vanity Fair, punishment and imprisonment aren't the leading causes why people don't behave badly. Believe it or not, most say it's because they already have morals.

CBS News reports:

Seventy percent of Americans said that it is their morals and principles that prevent them from behaving badly. Eighteen percent claim that it is their religion that keeps them from behaving in an anti- social manner. Seven percent say it's the fear of being caught that restrains them and two percent just do bad things anyway.

Sounds like 70 percent of the people in this study don't consider lying as "behaving badly" and only two percent are telling the truth.
