Video Game Aids Aging Brains
Don’t remember what you had for breakfast? There’s a video game for that.
NeuroRacer is a new, interactive video game that’s helping patients with aging brains. Doctors are suggesting the game can help enhance cognitive skills in older adults.
The game allows users two versions to enhance multi-tasking skills. The first makes the player pick target objects that were previously shown to them while the second turns the user into a driver driving along a variety of different roads.
What’s great about NeuroRacer is that it paves the way for further research to be developed and executed. Researchers find NeuroRacer could be adapted into other therapeutic video games for users with other neural deficits, such as ADHD.
