Could Stretch Marks be Genetic?
Possibly. But only for whites.
New research from an independent genetics company says that stretch marks could in fact be caused by genetic factors. However, all of the participants in the study were of European dissent.
No Latinos, Blacks, or those of Asian descent were involved in the study.
Nearly 80 percent of people get stretch marks at some point in their life. Women get them mostly from pregnancies.
