Is Apple King of The World?
For 13 years, Coca Cola topped the charts for most valuable brand name-- until now.
Apple soared far past the value of Coca Cola with the highest rank on Interbrand's annual study of brand names. Ever since the start of Interbrand's analysis in 2000, Coca Cola has been the best, but Apple now has a value of $98.3 billion. Take a moment to let that sink in.
Not only did Apple surpass Coca Cola, but Google also came in at a $93.3 billion brand value, which bumped the soda company to the third slot with $79.2 billion.
These numbers reflect the rising significance of technology in business globally, as well as consumer consciousness.
Samsung jumped up from slot nine to eight with a 20 percent increase in value, trading spots with Intel, which dropped five percent.
Are you surprised that long-time all-star Coca Cola has been replaced by Apple?
