This Week in Politics: Santorum's Resurrection
1 year ago
With Santorum stomping on Romney’s frontrunner status, all bets are off on who wins the next set of contests.
“Yeah, sure, it worked in this case. But we can’t bail out industries at the center of the country’s manufacturing industry and employing millions of Americans,” about sums up what Romney has been saying for years.
Santorum, to his credit, placed the blame for government bailouts where they originated; with President George W. Bush.
"Having government involved sets a dangerous precedent," Santrum said. "I actually blame President Bush more than I blame President Obama. He was just following suit. President Bush set the precedent and it was the wrong precedent."
In keeping with that argument, it may be Bush who also deserves a pat on the back for helping to save the auto industry. *Kanye shrug*
