Want to Touch What's In Your Movie?
You know you do.
Disney’s known for making us feel a lot. So maybe you’ve shed a tear or two when Bambi’s mother died or laughed alongside Princess Tiana, but who hasn’t? Well, Disney is moving on to other ventures of allowing you to tune in your senses.
Now, Disney is in the works for creating a surprising, new technology. They’re trying to make a big jump in touchscreen technologies by allowing users to feel textures.
Pretty soon you may be able to slide your hand over a screen and feel a mountain or a keyboard.
The technology works by rendering 3D features from the touchscreen, impulses from fingertips, and the human brain. By artificially stretching on the finger when it slides over the touchscreen, the brain thinks it’s a physical bump it’s touching.
Uncanniness at its finest! Freud would be proud.
