Follow Whitney Houston’s ‘Home Going’ Service with Loop21

Unless you’ve been on another planet this week, you’re already aware that pop diva Whitney Houston’s funeral is scheduled for today at 12 noon ET.
The Houston family will eulogize their daughter-mother-cousin-friend in an invite-only ceremony at New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, where Whitney is said to have debuted her once matchless voice.

For those without invitations, and that'd be most of us, there are a few ways to catch glimpses of this historic, sad, but celebratory occasion. CNN will begin live coverage at 11 a.m., BET at 11:30 a.m., and a live stream will be available online on most cable news websites.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, several high profile names are expected to be in attendance: “Houston’s ex-husband, Bobby Brown; their daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown; Kevin Costner; Dionne Warwick, Houston's cousin; Alicia Keys; Tyler Perry; (musician) Rickey Minor; CeCe Winans, Bobbi Kristina's godmother; and gospel singers Kim Burrell and Donnie McClurkin.”
Viewers can also expect performances from the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, and music icon Stevie Wonder.
